On January 26, there is a school board meeting, and this one is important. I am asking—no, pleading—for everyone who cares about our community to put this date on your calendar and attend.
For too long, decisions about school taxes have been made with little pushback from the very people who feel the impact the most: families, homeowners, seniors on fixed incomes, and residents who are already stretched thin. Every increase adds pressure. Every unchecked decision makes it harder for people to stay in the homes and neighborhoods they love.
This is not about being anti-school. We support education. We support our kids, our teachers, and our future. But support does not mean silence. Support means asking hard questions, demanding transparency, and making sure our tax dollars are being used responsibly and fairly.
School boards listen when seats are filled. They notice when the community shows up. Silence is often mistaken for approval—and that has to stop.
If you’ve ever said:
- “My taxes are getting out of control”
- “No one listens to us”
- “Something needs to change”
This is your moment to act.
One meeting. One evening. One strong message: we are paying attention, and we expect better.
Please talk to your neighbors. Share this message. Bring a friend. Bring your concerns. Bring your voice.
January 26. School board meeting.
Let’s stop complaining from the sidelines and start standing together where it matters.
Our community is worth it.
